Behavior Specialist


The main focus of this position is to assess individuals, develop behavior plans, and assist the individual and their team with its implementation. The Behavior Specialist is to coordinate the implementation of services with referral source, consumer and employee, ensuring the delivery of quality services. This occurs through the training employees, supporting the consumer, and ongoing communication with the team and medical professionals when needed. All services must be conducted within contract, state and federal regulations, as well as Company Policies and Procedures.  Salary negotiable and based on experience


 ●  Person Centered Planning functions and Individual Support Planning Functions

 ●  Consumer Record Related functions

 ●  Training Related functions

  Quality Assurance Related functions

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

●  A Master’s Degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, or another applied health service area of psychology, special education, social work, or counseling. A licensed marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker or licensed mental health counselor licensed is also qualified, or the individual must have a master’s degree in a human service field and is able to demonstrate to the BDDS behavior management committee that the they have course work in or five (5) years of experience in devising, implementing and monitoring behavior support plans.

●  Personal vehicle which is insured and meets state safety/licensure requirements;

●  Valid driver’s license, may require chauffeur’s license;

●  Must successfully pass criminal background checks prior to working with consumers:

●  Must complete Company orientation.
